Satellite NMR Announces Successful Remote Water Detection for B Square in Plains, TX
Plains, TX – June 17, 2024 – Satellite NMR is pleased to announce another successful remote water survey, aiding farmer Josh Bell of B Square near the New Mexico border. In July 2023, with temperatures soaring to 111 degrees and winds reaching 65 mph, Bell faced a dire situation as his crops withered from lack of water. Despite running his wells overtime, there wasn’t enough water to sustain his fields. It was then that a friendly fertilizer salesman, Jim Gray, familiar with Satellite NMR’s technology, offered to help.
Initially skeptical due to his background in computer science rather than ranching, Josh Bell decided to give the Satellite NMR survey a try, thanks to Gray’s reassurance of its accuracy. Within four weeks, Satellite NMR successfully mapped Bell’s property and identified a large aquifer conveniently located under one of his existing pumping stations.
Despite some delays in finding an available water well driller, Bell’s drilling operation went smoothly. The rig encountered pure white sand, a promising sign, and the well produced fresh, clean water as predicted. The well was fully open for seven days without any drawdown, indicating a robust water source.
James Franklin, lead geoscientist at Satellite NMR, stated, “Saving another ranch from disaster is always rewarding. This is our 27th successful survey, but we’ve already mapped over 3,800 miles of deep mantle water, potentially supplying the world with an unlimited supply of fresh water.”
Satellite NMR is committed to helping more farms and ranches find sustainable water sources. Additionally, 100% grant funding from the USDA is available to fund the drilling of wells confirmed by the NMR survey.
